Questions

Common questions about mobile repair

How much does a mobile mechanic cost?

A $125 diagnostic is charged on every job and credited toward the repair if you go ahead. The travel fee is $75 to $100 in addition to the diagnostic, depending on distance and fuel. The repair itself depends on your vehicle, the parts and the labor it needs.

Can a mobile mechanic do brakes at my house?

Yes. Brake pads, rotors and calipers are common mobile repairs, done at your home or workplace. They need a level place to work and room to take a wheel off.

What repairs can a mobile mechanic not do?

Transmission and engine rebuilds are not done. Engine and transmission swaps are, and so is every other repair. If you are unsure whether yours is on the list, call or text and say what the car needs.

Is there a travel fee?

Yes, $75 to $100 in addition to the diagnostic, depending on the miles and the fuel for the trip. Service runs from Nephi to Ogden, including Eagle Mountain and Heber.

What if I decide not to do the repair after the diagnostic?

If you go ahead, the $125 is credited toward the repair. If you decide not to, the $125 is not refunded. It pays for the time spent looking for the cause.

Are emergency or after-hours calls taken?

Yes. Emergency and after-hours calls are taken, and after 8 p.m. the labor rate is $150 an hour. Call or text (801) 386-6984 and say what the car is doing.
